Welcome to Renton Technologies LLP (renton.org.in). By accessing our website and utilizing our IT equipment rental services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
- Nature of Agreement
This agreement is a Bailment for Hire. Renton Technologies LLP (the “Lessor”) agrees to rent IT equipment to the client (the “Lessee”) for a specified period. Ownership of the equipment remains exclusively with Renton Technologies LLP at all times.
- Rental Period & Extensions
- The rental period begins on the date of delivery and ends on the date specified in the Rental Contract.
- Any request for extension must be made at least 48 hours before the expiry of the current term. Extensions are subject to equipment availability and updated pricing.
- Payment Terms
- Rental Fees: All payments must be made in advance or as per the agreed credit cycle.
- Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit may be required. This will be returned within 7 days of equipment return, provided no damage is found.
- Taxes: All applicable GST and local taxes will be charged extra as per government regulations.
- Use of Equipment
The Lessee agrees to:
- Use the equipment only for its intended professional purpose.
- Prohibition of Sub-letting: You shall not sub-rent, assign, or transfer the equipment to any third party without written consent.
- Software Compliance: Renton Technologies LLP is not responsible for any unlicensed software installed by the Lessee.
- Damage, Loss, and Maintenance
- Routine Support: We provide maintenance for normal “wear and tear.”
- Lessee Liability: The Lessee is responsible for the full replacement cost of equipment in the event of theft, loss, or damage caused by negligence (e.g., liquid spills, physical impact, electrical surges due to poor wiring).
- Alterations: You may not open the chassis or alter the hardware components of the rented devices.
- Data Privacy & Sanitization
- Data Responsibility: The Lessee is solely responsible for backing up their data.
- Data Deletion: Upon return, Renton Technologies LLP will format the drives. We are not liable for any data lost during our standard sanitization process after the equipment is returned.
- Delivery and Collection
- The Lessee or an authorized representative must be present to inspect the equipment and sign the Delivery Challan.
- Any discrepancies in the equipment’s condition must be noted at the time of delivery.
- Limitation of Liability
Renton Technologies LLP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profits or data) arising from the use or inability to use the rented equipment.
- Termination
We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement and repossess the equipment immediately if:
- The Lessee fails to make payments.
- The equipment is being used for illegal activities.
- The Lessee breaches any material term of this agreement.
- Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
At Renton Technologies LLP, we strive to provide the most flexible IT rental experience. Below is our policy regarding the cancellation of orders and the processing of refunds.
- Cancellation Policy
- Before Dispatch: You may cancel your rental order up to 24 hours before the scheduled delivery time for a full refund (minus any nominal processing fees).
- Post-Dispatch: Once the equipment has left our warehouse, cancellations are treated as “Early Returns.” In such cases, the delivery and pickup charges will be non-refundable.
- Custom Configurations: For high-end servers or workstations customized to your specific needs, a cancellation fee of 20% of the first month’s rental may apply if cancelled within 24 hours of delivery.
- Refund Policy
- Security Deposits: Refundable security deposits are processed within 5-7 business days after the equipment has been returned and cleared our quality inspection.
- Prorated Refunds: If you return equipment earlier than the agreed contract end date, refunds on the remaining rental period are subject to the specific terms of your signed contract (some long-term discounted rates may not allow for prorated refunds).
- Mode of Refund: All refunds will be credited back to the source of payment (Bank Transfer, UPI, or Credit/Debit Card).
- Equipment Inspection & Deductions
Upon return, our technical team will inspect the hardware. Deductions from the refund/security deposit may occur if:
- Physical damage is found (cracked screens, broken ports, etc.).
- Internal components have been tampered with.
- Original accessories (chargers, mice, bags) are missing.
